Just like maintenance extends the life of your car, routine maintenance extends the life of your stroller. Families with young children use the stroller daily, which is why stroller maintenance is important. The frequency of maintenance depends on how intensively the stroller is used, the weather conditions, and the type of surface the stroller is used on.
- Make sure the brakes and stroller folding areas are clean from dirt, debris, and sand. Wipe them with a damp cloth, spray with a cleaning product, or use compressed air.
- To prevent metal parts from rusting, wipe and dry the stroller frame if you’ve used it in rainy, snowy, or bad weather conditions.
- Keep the stroller in a dry place (do not store it in damp or cold areas such as basements or outdoors).
- Do not leave the stroller in direct sunlight, as it can bleach the fabric cover.
- Always use a rain cover in rainy and snowy conditions.
- Before storing the stroller, make sure the stroller, rain cover, and all accessories are dry.
- If you use the stroller by the sea, on forest paths, gravel roads, or salted streets, clean and dry the frame and wheels.
- When transporting or storing the stroller, ensure there are no scratches, as stroller frames are not scratch-resistant, and the frame’s surface is sensitive.
FRAME
Clean the frame with a damp cloth and use a mild detergent, then dry it thoroughly. Do not use abrasive substances, as they may scratch the frame. You can lightly oil metal frame assembly parts using universal oil like WD-40. For plastic frames, silicone spray is a better option.
CLEANING LEATHER PARTS
Use a dry cloth, and you can use a colored leather care product. Do not wash, iron, bleach, or dry clean.
WHEEL MAINTENANCE
Clean all wheels and wipe off dirt with a damp cloth. Before reinstalling the wheels, apply a small amount of lubricant to the axle. Universal oil like WD-40 works well, but wipe off excess oil with a cloth.
FABRICS
When cleaning stroller fabrics, follow the care instructions on the fabric. Some strollers have removable fabrics that can be hand or machine washed. If you are unsure how to care for the fabrics, contact the stroller dealer.
Ensure that after cleaning and maintaining the stroller, all parts and components are securely attached to ensure safety!
